Patch Picks: Where to Sled Around Highland Park

Now that there's a ton of snow on the ground, here's where you can go play in it.

  1.  - Not only does this park include , but it's also home to one of Highland Park's most popular sledding hills.
  2.  - If you head here between 10 a.m. and noon, you'll get to cross-country ski and eat s'mores in addition to sled.
  3. - This is an unofficial sledding hill, but a satisfying one nonetheless. "It was a toboggan run at one point," said Edward Gudas, program supervisor for park recreation for the City of Lake Forest. It's sled at your own risk," he said.
  4. - Sure, it's in Deerfield, but this park also includes a fenced-in area for dogs and an ice skating rink.
  5.  - After you've finished shoveling your front yard, you should have a pretty intimidating pile of snow.
