Police say that two men, one of which was armed with a gun, ordered the clerk of a convenience store onto the ground during a robbery Wednesday in Highland Park.
The Highland Park Police Department responded around 2:23 a.m. Wednesday to Casey’s Convenience Store, 1333 Half Day Road in Highland Park, for an armed robbery.

Police officials said that two suspects entered the store with one of them displaying a handgun.
The clerk was ordered to the ground while the suspects stole cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes.

The suspects exited the store and entered a car parked in a neighboring lot, police officials said.
The suspect vehicle fled northbound on Route 41. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspects were both described only as male blacks in their mid-20s, according to police.
The suspect car was described as being dark in color with a broken tail light.
