Sheridan Music Studio Announces Openings for New Piano Students with Steinway Artist Susan Merdinger

Highland Park, IL — [August 17, 2025] — Sheridan Music Studio, home to internationally acclaimed pianist and Steinway Artist Susan Merdinger, is now accepting applications for new piano students for the upcoming season. Openings are available for intermediate through advanced pianists, including both pre-college and adult learners, with merit scholarships awarded by audition.

Renowned for her award-winning performances and recordings, Merdinger brings the same artistry, passion, and dedication that define her concert career into her teaching. Her students have gone on to win competitions at every level, perform with orchestras around the world, and appear on stages such as Carnegie Hall. Yet Merdinger is equally devoted to those whose goals are not professional careers, but rather a lifelong love and deep understanding of music.

At Sheridan Music Studio, lessons go far beyond piano technique. Students receive personalized instruction in Music Theory, Chamber Music, Duo Piano Repertoire, and even Conducting, while also benefiting from Merdinger’s role as a mentor and coach. She is dedicated to cultivating not only skilled performers, but also thoughtful, engaged, and resilient musicians who find joy and meaning in their art.
