34-Year-Old Identified As Victim In Fatal Rollover Crash On Route 41 In Highland Park
A passenger who was ejected from an SUV that crashed into a utility pole early Sunday morning was pronounced dead, authorities said.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — A 34-year-old man from Chicago died Sunday in a crash on Route 41 in Highland Park, authorities said.
The fatal one-car crash left three others injured and closed southbound lanes for several hours as police and crash investigators collected evidence from the scene.
Shortly before 3:30 a.m., Highland Park police and fire crews were called to the crash in the 2300 block of Skokie Valley Road, where they found a heavily damaged Jeep SUV.

Investigators believe the driver of the Jeep had been heading south when it drove off the road, crashed into a utility pole and rolled over.
Cameron Faulkner, one of three passengers, was ejected from the backseat of the overturned car. He was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to the coroner's office.

There was no immediate word from authorities on the conditions of the other passengers, the driver or any possible citations or charges in connection with the crash.
The Highland Park Police Department and Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team are continuing to investigate the crash to determine what caused the driver to lose control.
