Warrant Arrest, Theft, Windshield Wiper Damage: Highland Park Blotter
The Highland Park Police Department recently arrested a Rock Island man and handled several criminal complaints, including property damage.

HIGHLAND PARK, IL — The Highland Park Police Department recently arrested a man on an out-of-town warrant and handled several criminal complaints regarding various criminal offenses in the past week, the department announced on Monday.
Xavier J. Mentria, 32, Rock Island, was arrested recently following a traffic crash investigation during which Highland Park Police learned that he had an in-state warrant from an out-of-town jurisdiction and was taken to the Lake County Jail. He was later released.

THEFT
Police received a report on Jan. 4 about a report of a theft from a parking garage in the 1600 block of Lake Cook Road. Police said that the complainant said that they left a bag with golf clubs in the front of the vehicle and when they returned, the clubs were missing.

Police received a report on Jan. 6 about a theft that had taken place in the 1900 block of Skokie Road. An employee said that they had taken their rings off while working on Jan. 5 and when they returned on Jan. 6, the rings were not where they left them.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Police received a report from a complainant on Jan. 6 saying that their vehicle was parked near the intersection of Arbor Avenue and Richfield Avenue overnight and that an unknown person damaged their windshield wipers by bending them upward.
Police received a report on Jan. 6 from a complainant in the 1200 block of Arbor Avenue saying that an unknown person had done damage to their vehicle’s windshield wipers.
