What to Expect At the Port Clinton Art Fair

Art, art and more art. (Plus lots of food and music.)

It's that time of summer again. 

Tents are getting set up along Central Avenue in downtown Highland Park in preparation for this weekend's 28th annual . More than 250,000 art enthusiasts will travel through Highland Park on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m., perusing the works of 260 worldwide artists.

The festival also includes kids activities like a scavenger hunt and art projects. Attendees can also partake in interactive art demos and educational booth chats taking place all weekend long.

The festival kicks off Friday night at 6 p.m. with the fifth annual Enjoy some tasty barbecue from the North Shore's hottest new brisket place -- , or stop by the beer and wine tent. In honor of the Taste’s five-year anniversary, some restaurants will offer $5 favorites.

The renowned rock band Herman’s Hermits headlines this weekend's event, with other artists like Kevin Chalfant’s Journey Experience, Od Tampo Imi and Soul Cookin’ performing as well.
