False Pretenses: Hinsdale Dealership Car Stolen
In another case, a Hinsdale nonprofit group was the victim of theft, police said.
HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:
Car theft
- A car was stolen about 2 p.m. Dec. 23 under false pretenses from Land Rover Hinsdale, 336 E. Ogden Ave. The case is pending. Patch has filed a public records request.

- A ladder outside the Hinsdale Historical Society, 15 S. Clay St., was stolen between Nov. 10 and Nov. 26. The theft was reported Dec. 23.
- A phone was stolen between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. while it was left unattended at a charging station at Hinsdale Hospital, 120 N. Oak St.
Hit-and-run crash
- A 47-year-old Westmont woman was arrested about 8 a.m. Sunday at 55th Street and County Line Road on charges of failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash, leaving the scene of an accident, driving an uninsured car and driving with a suspended license. She was given a court date and released.
