Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flood Warnings Issued for DuPage County
The National Weather Service's sever thunderstorm warning is in effect until 9:30 p.m., while the flash flood warning is in effect until 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning and a flash flood warning for southern DuPage County Tuesday night.
The sever thunderstorm warning is in effect until 9:30 p.m. Tuesday; the flash flood warning will be in effect until 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
In addition to southern DuPage, the thunderstorm warning was issued for southern Cook County and northern Will County, and the flash flood warning was issued for central and southern Cook County and northwestern Will County.

"National Weather Service doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with torrential rainfall across the warned area," the warning reads. "These storms are producing one to two inches of rain in less than 45 minutes.
"Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to occur, particularly in urbanized and poor drainage areas."
