Man Threatens Westmont Business With Bombs: Authorities
The man created a video acting like he was planting IEDs inside cars, police said.

WESTMONT, IL – A Joliet man created a video acting like he was planting bombs inside vehicles at a Westmont business, police said.
Devan Sheard, 32, was arrested on a felony charge of disorderly conduct involving a bomb threat.
On Sunday afternoon, Westmont police responded to the Napleton Porsche warehouse on Burr Oak Drive after a call alerting them to a YouTube video created by Sheard, according to DuPage County prosecutors.

In the video, Sheard is seen discussing planting improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, inside vehicles, prosecutors said.
Police said he approached several cars with their hoods up and stated, "Should I hide the IED over here?"

At one point, Sheard set down the camera and said, "I'm planting the IED as we speak," police said.
"If I'm going to go out, I'm going to go out with a bang," Sheard was quoted as saying.
The Westmont and DuPage County bomb squads searched the warehouse and found no bomb-making materials, prosecutors said.
"The alleged conduct of Mr. Sheard left employees at the facility, as well as the Westmont community, anxious and in fear for their personal safety," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement. "Additionally, the law enforcement resources devoted to this investigation were unnecessary and a waste of taxpayers' money. The charges filed against Mr. Sheard send the message that in DuPage County, we will not tolerate abuses to the criminal justice system as alleged in this case."
DuPage County Judge Anthony Coco granted prosecutors' request to keep Sheard in jail until his trial
