Forgeries, Porch Piracy: Hinsdale Cops
Someone forged three of a local business' checks and tried to obtain a loan, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest weekly blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:
Forgeries
- Someone forged three checks using the bank account information of Fuller's Service Center, 102 W. Chicago Ave., and attempted to obtain a loan. The theft occurred between Dec. 11 and Dec. 13.

- A package delivered to The Pearl of Hinsdale nursing home, 600 W. Ogden Ave., was stolen Dec. 14. The theft was reported the following day.
Damage
- Christmas decorations were damaged between Nov. 27 and Dec. 20 in a yard in the 800 block of South County Line Road.
DUI

- A 43-year-old Aurora man was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Route 83 and 22nd Street on charges of DUI, improper lane use, transportation of open alcohol by a driver and improper lighting. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A 57-year-old Niles woman was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Monday at Ogden Avenue and Interstate 294 on charges of DUI, speeding and improper lane use. She refused testing to determine her blood-alcohol content. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
