Hinsdale DUI Suspect Smashes Wooden Barricade: Cops

In the last few days, Hinsdale officers said they arrested three people on drunken-driving charges.

A 45-year-old Oak Brook woman, a 62-year-old Downers Grove man and a 41-year-old Lisle man were arrested in recent days in Hinsdale on DUI charges, police said.

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

DUI

  • A 45-year-old Oak Brook woman was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at York Road and The Lane on charges of DUI, endangering the health or life of a child, failure to give information after striking unattended property and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Police said she smashed into a wooden barricade wall. A child under 18 was in the car. The woman refused testing to determine her blood-alcohol content. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 62-year-old Downers Grove man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Nov. 23 at 55th Street and Taft Road on charges of DUI, failure to signal when required and improper lane use. The man refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • A 41-year-old Lisle man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ogden Avenue and Route 83 on charges of DUI, speeding and driving an uninsured car. The man refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • Someone spray-painted graffiti on a garage door in the 400 block of East Hickory Street. The damage was reported Monday.
