Hinsdale Police Reports: Theft, Fraud, Assault, Hit and Run
Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through Sept. 22.

Someone reportedly stole a dirt bike between Aug. 15 and Sept. 14 from an attached garage in the 400 block of Bonnie Brae Road, according to Hinsdale police. The dirt bike is valued at $1,000.
Two rings valued at $40,000 were reported missing Sept. 17 from a home in the 400 block of North Monroe Street, according to Hinsdale police. Workers were in the house during the time the rings went missing.

Someone reportedly tried to cash a check Sept. 15 for $350,000 using a victim’s account information, according to Hinsdale police. The bank told the victim about the fraud and did not cash the check.
Someone spray pained a wooden front door Sept. 19 on a home in the 700 block of South Thurlow Street, according to Hinsdale police.

Someone used a victim’s information to withdraw $7,000 of assets from her bank accounts and opened lines of credit to charge $5,000 of purchases between Aug. 21 and Sept. 14, according to Hinsdale police.
Alexis Taylor, age 26 of East 155th Street, Harvey, was arrested Sept. 21 for aggravated assault and battery, according to Hinsdale police. Taylor’s car was being repossessed, and police report Taylor insulted or provoked the and pointed a knife at the victim in the 600 block of West Ogden Avenue.
Someone reportedly stole a driver’s license and cell phone, valued at $600, between Sept. 7 and 21 from Hinsdale Central High School, according to Hinsdale police.
Someone reportedly hit a parked car Sept. 21 in the student parking lot of Hinsdale Central High School, according to Hinsdale police.
