Hinsdale Settles On Restaurant For Train Station: Official
"I believe the community will be very pleased," the village president said.
HINSDALE, IL – A Hinsdale committee has decided on a new restaurant for the space formerly occupied by Casa Margarita at the local train station, an official said Thursday.
Last year, Village President Greg Hart appointed a selection committee to review the nine proposals for the village-owned space. Eight were for restaurants; one was a retail concept.
"We’re currently in negotiations, so I'm not able to disclose the new tenant yet due to confidentiality," Hart said in a message to Patch. "That said, a selection has been made, and I believe the community will be very pleased."

He said he expected to be able to share more publicly no later than mid-February.
Casa Margarita's train station lease expired last summer. It is a Mexican food chain with restaurants in La Grange, Downers Grove, Bolingbook, Orland Park and Chicago.

At a meeting last April, Hart's predecessor, Tom Cauley, expressed his concerns about Casa Margarita.
At the same meeting, a businessman told the board that he wanted to open Le Jolie, a French restaurant, in the train station.
It would offer oyster and raw bars, among other selections. Its food is described as a "touch of coastal French with American ingenuity."
