Construction Continues On Bell Road In Homer Glen
Bell Road is under construction in several areas in Homer Glen, with one project wrapping up in November.
HOMER GLEN, IL — Construction is ongoing on Bell Road in Homer Glen, from 159th to 151st streets, according to the Village. The project has been delayed due to additional utility relocations, but is expected to have "substantial completion" by the end of November.
According to the Village, drill crews have re-mobilized and resumed work. Noise wall foundations are anticipated to be completed within the coming week. Then, Earthwork and subgrade preparation will follow.
Utility relocations and construction also continues at the 143rd Street and Bell Road intersection. That project is expected to be finished in November 2027.

According to the Village, the stage 1 traffic shift has been delayed, but should now take place in early October. The new traffic configuration will shift traffic to the east side of Bell Road and the south side of 143rd Street. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane of travel in either direction.
