Homer Glen Junior High Baseball Takes Third In State

HOMER GLEN, IL — Homer Glen's Homer Junior High School baseball team has finished third in the IESA Class 3A state tournament, held in East Peoria on Oct. 5.

The Homer Glen team defeated Bourbonnais, 1-0, in the first round to advance to the semifinals, according to IESA. The team lost to Chatham Glenwood in the semifinals, moving to the third-place game against Frankfort's Summit Hill.

Homer Glen defeated Summit Hill 12-5, taking third place in the tournament, according to IESA. The Homer Junior High team finished the season with a 17-6-0 record.
