Homer Junior High 8th Grade Boys Basketball Heads To State Tournament

HOMER GLEN, IL — The Homer Junior High School eighth grade boys basketball team will play in the first round of the IESA Class 4A state tournament on Saturday.

The team, which is 18-6, will face Rockford's Eisenhower (25-0), according to IESA. The game will be played at 1 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Taylorville High School.

Other teams in the tournament include: Minooka, Bloomington Junior High School, Park Forest Michelle Obama School of Technology and the Arts, Champaign's Edison, Quincy and O'Fallon's Carriel.

The winner of the first-round game will advance to the semi-finals, which will be played at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to IESA.

The state championship and third-place game will be played Feb. 20.
