Lockport To Allow Garage Sales During Phase 3 Reopening Plan
In accordance with Gov. J.B. Pritzker's executive orders, no more than 10 people are allowed at a sale at one time, according to the city.
LOCKPORT, IL—Per direction from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the City of Lockport announced it is allowing garage sales during Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois Plan.
In accordance with Gov. J.B. Pritzker's executive orders, no more than ten people are allowed at a sale at one time and social distancing (six feet) must be maintained. If social distancing cannot be maintained, face coverings should be worn.
According to the city, permits are not required for a garage, yard or estate sale; however, the city does limit these to six days per calendar year. Signs may not be placed in any public right-of-ways, on utility poles or signposts. All signs must be located on private property with the permission of the property owner.
