Lockport Honors Lockport Jr. Porters Football, Cheer Champions
The Lockport Jr. Porters organization offers youth football and cheer teams for a variety of ages before high school.
LOCKPORT, IL — At its meeting on Wednesday, the Lockport City Council honored the state and regional champions from the Lockport Jr. Porters 11U football team and the Pee Wee 8-11 cheer team.
Coaching staff thanked the City Council for recognizing the teams. The Lockport Jr. Porters organization offers youth football and cheer teams for a variety of ages before high school.
The 11U football team are back-to-back Mid-America regional champions from 2022 and 2023, the organization said at the meeting.

The cheer team won the state championship, and also went onto win the regional Mid-America championship. The team also finished in first at the 2022 state championship competition last year.
The cheer and dance championships were held in Tinley Park in November; the football regional championship was played in November in Indiana.
