LTHS Cheerleading Takes Third At IHSA State Finals
The team took third place in the large team division at the IHSA state finals this past weekend.
LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Township High School placed third in the large team division at the IHSA cheerleading state finals this past weekend. The state finals were held Feb. 3-4 at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.
According to IHSA, Lockport placed third with a score of 94.63. Lincoln-Way West took second with a score of 95.43 and Lincoln-Way East placed first with a score of 98.13.
"We are so proud of our athletes for their tremendous season which included an SWSC conference Championship, an IHSA sectional title and third place at IHSA state," Coach Jennifer Krumlinde said. "We wish our seniors the best of luck in their future endeavors and can't wait to get next season started!"

Earlier this season, Lockport was the sectional champion at the Bradley-Bourbonnais High School sectional, with a score of 97.37, according to IHSA.
LTHS cheerleading has captured two state championships in recent years, taking first in the co-ed division in 2021 and first in the large division in 2022.
