LTHS Football Advances To First Round Of Playoffs

LOCKPORT, IL — Lockport Township High School's football team has advanced to the first round of the IHSA Class 8A playoffs.
Lockport is seeded no. 27, and will go up against no. 6 seed Maine South. The game will be played at Maine South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Lockport is 5-4, while Maine South is 8-1. Lockport won the Class 8A state championship in 2021.

The winner of the Lockport, Maine South match-up will face the winner of Aurora East and Belleville East in the second round of the playoffs.
