Railroad Crossing Gates Malfunctioning At Ninth, State

Police advised avoiding the crossing if possible, due to traffic congestion.​

LOCKPORT, IL — The railroad crossing gates were malfunctioning at Ninth and State streets in Lockport Wednesday afternoon, according to a notification from police.

Police said the gates are raising and lowering on their own due to track work in the area. As of 3:45 p.m., officers were readying to reopen the crossing.
