Scooter's Coffee Plans Move Forward In Lockport
The new business will be at lot 4 of Lockport Plaza, which is northeast of Ninth and Seventh.
LOCKPORT, IL — At its Wednesday meeting, the Lockport City Council approved a special use permit and final development plans for a Scooter's Coffee at Ninth and Seventh streets.
The new business will be at lot 4 of Lockport Plaza, which is northeast of Ninth and Seventh. Scooter's Coffee will be located with the plaza, which includes the post office facility, Napa Auto Parts, Papa Joe's Restaurant, Sports Huddle and Turning Pointe Dancing Company, according to Board documents.
The special use permit is to allow for a drive-thru facility; the location is drive-thru only.

"There is no pick-up window or any indoor or outdoor eating areas," Board documents state.
A new 664-square-foot building will be constructed; access will come from Ninth Street, according to Board documents.

Scooter's Coffee serves hot drinks, ice drinks, blenders, smoothies and teas. Currently, some limited time items include a maple bourbon latte, pumpkin chai, pumpkin carmelicious and pumpkin spice latte.
Scooter's Coffee also has locations in Naperville, Yorkville, Plano, Sandwich and Mundelein; and most recently opened in Bolingbrook.
