Alan Hall, 42, of Glenwood, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver on June 18.

A Glenwood man accused of intending to sell marijuana was stopped by Homewood police on June 18.
Alan Hall, 42, of the 700 block of 194th Street, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and driving with expired registration, according to a Homewood police report. Police say Hall had more than 150 grams of marijuana, baggies, scales and bundles of cash when he was stopped on June 18.
Hall was stopped at about 7:28 p.m. in the 17800 block of Hasted Street after police determined the black SUV he was driving had expired registration, the report states. During the stop, police reported smelling an odor of marijuana coming from the SUV. Police asked Hall when was the last time someone smoked in the car, during which time he dumped out the ashtray.
Hall got out of his SUV when police asked to conduct a search, according to the report. Police allegedly found a blue duffel bag that contained "a large amount of a green leafy substance" in the backseat. The bag also reportedly had packaging materials and two digital scales. Hall was arrested and taken to the Homewood Police Department.
The leafy substance, which weighted 154.4 grams, field tested positive for the presence of marijuana, the report states. The driver also had more than $1,000 cash, most of which was in $100 bundles.
The suspected marijuana was set to the Illinois State Police crime lab for further testing.
