2 Die in Fiery Crash on I-294 Ramp at Halsted
The single-car crash has blocked the toll plaza.
Two people died early Wednesday when a car crashed on the northbound Halsted Street entrance ramp to southbound I-294 and burst into flames. They were pronounced dead on the scene. The crash took place around 4:30 a.m. when the car hit the plaza and rolled over, according to State Police. The toll plaza remains blocked as of 8 a.m.
