8-Year-Old Boy Shot In Markham, No One In Custody: Police
The child was shot at around 3 a.m. on April 26 in the 16000 block of Ashland Avenue. Police said the shooting appeared to be accidental.
MARKHAM, IL — An 8-year-old boy was taken to the hospital last week after he was shot in the abdomen by a stray bullet, police said.
The child was shot at around 3 a.m. on April 26 in the 16000 block of Ashland Avenue. According to Markham police, the shooting appeared to be accidental but officers are still investigating.
The boy was taken to Christ Hospital and later transferred to Comer Children's Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. As of Tuesday, no one was in custody.
