3 Suspects Wanted In Armed Robbery Of Armored Truck: Homewood Police

The incident happened Tuesday just before 1 p.m.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police are investigating after an armed robbery of an armored truck Tuesday afternoon outside a bank.

Police were called Tuesday to the BMO Harris Bank, 17600 block of Halsted, for a report of an armored robbery. Police learned three armed offenders approached the employee of a bank ATM armored truck and demanded money from the ATM. The suspects obtained an unknown amount of US Currency and fled the area northbound in an unknown vehicle. No one was injured during the incident.

The Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit is assisting the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) with the investigation.
