Arrest Made In Crash That Killed Elderly Woman: Homewood PD

HOMEWOOD, IL — A Chicago Heights man has been arrested in connection with a crash that killed a 76-year-old Country Clubs Hills woman last month.

Homewood police said Sunday that Deondre Bing, 19, was arrested Friday and charged with one count of reckless homicide in the crash that killed Grace Hill.

Police were called Sept. 6 just before 9 a.m. to a three-car crash at 183rd Street and Kedzie Avenue. Hill was injured in the crash and later died. A second driver and their passenger were also injured. A third driver was taken into custody.

That driver—now identified as Bing—was initially released without charges, pending further investigation, police said.
