Bomb Threat Made Against Homewood Jewel-Osco: Police

The threat was called in just after 6:30 am. Wednesday.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police were on the scene at Jewel-Osco Wednesday morning, after a bomb threat was called in to the store.

The threat was phone in just after 6:30 a.m., said Deputy Chief Kelly Stayer. Employees were seen standing outside the building at 3153 W. 183rd St. as police investigated.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad responded and cleared the area with no threat found, Strayer added.
