'Cheers Live on Stage' Broadway Show to Revive Popular 80s Sitcom
Actors and actresses will use the original TV script for a one month run in Chicago this fall.

They just don’t make sitcoms like they used to.
Gone are the days of Cheers, a 1980s, pre-ironic television show that centered around a bar in Boston where everybody knew your name.
But fans of Sam Malone, Carla Tortelli, Norm, Cliff, Coach and even Diane Chambers can relive the glory years with an upcoming Broadway show in Chicago.

Actors and actresses will use the original scripts from the first show’s first two seasons, following the storylines of how Sam hired Diane to be on the bar staff and the catchy back-and-forth banter between Carla and bar regulars like Norm and Cliff.
