'Coffee With A Cop' Planned With Social Distancing Restrictions
Flossmoor police officers will meet in the tented areas outside Dunning's Market.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — The popular suburban "Coffee with a Cop" event could return within the week. The Flossmoor Police Department plans to bring back the live, in-person version of police officers meeting with citizens from the community on Saturday, June 27.
That's only if Flossmoor is allowed to move to Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois plan, village officials said in an e-mail newsletter. Cops will be in the tented areas outside of Dunning's Market at 1050 Sterling Ave. "to answer questions and to discuss some of the most important issues in our community."
Before the coronavirus pandemic, Flossmoor police officers would typically hold "Coffee with a Cop" gatherings at the Starbucks on Vollmer Road.
