• Kid Rock (Rock, Country): Classic rock legends ZZ Top and Uncle Cracker will join Kid Rock the First Midwest Bank Amphitheater on Friday. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Get tickers here.
• Room To Move Dance & Fitness Studio Open House: The Steger studio is hosting an open house. Light refreshments will be served.
• Flossmoor Farmers Market: Every Friday behind the Flossmoor Public Library. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Saturday

• First-Ever Comedy Night at Twisted Q BBQ: Enjoy the comedic stylings of nationally touring comedians Dobie Maxwell & James Wesley Jackson. $10 cover.
• Odball Fest feat. Dave Chappelle, Flight of the Conchords: At First Midwest Bank Amphitheater. Doors open at 5 p.m. Get tickets here.
• Trap-Neuter-Return Workshop: For those looking to help outdoor cats. Meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. at P.A.W.S. in Tinley Park.
• Homewood Library Used Book Sale: From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the library will be selling used books, DVDs, music, back-to-school books and more.
• Homewood Farmers Market: Every Saturday at Harwood Ave. and Chestnut Rd. from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  

• Chicago Heights Corner Market, Chicago Heights: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 160 West Joe Orr Road, Chicago Heights.
