COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, IL — The death of a 2-month-old boy in Country Club Hills is being investigated by state authorities, according to the Chicago Tribune. Investigators for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services are looking into claims that Nazir Carter, who was pronounced dead Sunday at Hazel Crest's Advocate South Hospital, was neglected, the report added.
The boy was found at the Cook County Wellness Center, a privately owned and operated homeless facility, the report stated. The Cook County medical examiner's officer has not determined the cause and manner of the boy's death, saying it needs further study, the report added.
