"Flossmoor's annual Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was another huge success," Mayoral Candidate Michelle Nelson told Patch. "Residents from all over town worked to support seven service projects benefitting charities such as South Suburban PADS, South Suburban Humane Society, and the local blood bank. This is Flossmoor's 7th year celebrating Dr. King with a village-wide day of service."
Residents also had the opportunity to sign up for an all month-long pledge to commit acts of kindness, encouraging friends, family and neighbors to do the same. All projects can be seen on the village website.
