Flossmoor Man, 34, Charged After Throwing Drink At Kim Foxx: Reports

The 34-year-old man allegedly threw a brown liquid at the Cook County State's Attorney outside a home on Sterling Avenue Friday.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — A Flossmoor man faces charges after he allegedly threw a drink at Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx and tried to hit her with his truck during an encounter Friday.

William Swetz, 34, of Flossmoor, is charged with aggravated assault with a motor vehicle and aggravated battery in a public place, Fox 32 Chicago reported.

Swetz was inside his vehicle near a home on Sterling Avenue, when he encountered Foxx who was said to be walking near her own home, Fox 32 reported. Swetz allegedly shouted an expletive at Foxx, who then made a hand gesture toward Swetz.

Prosecutors allege Swetz then put the truck in reverse and accelerated toward Foxx, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. He then threw a "brown liquid substance from a drink cup" in her face.

Swetz was arrested, charged, and later released during a pre-trial hearing on Sunday. He is next due to appear in court Tuesday.
