Flossmoor PD Accepting Applications for Citizens Academy
The academy begins in April as a way for residents to learn firsthand about the Flossmoor Police Department.

From the Flossmoor Police Department:
The Flossmoor Police Department’s Citizen Police Academy is designed to provide residents with an overall knowledge of the department, including how the department is organized and how it serves the community. It also gives residents a look at the people who respond to their calls.
Applications will be accepted through March 15.

A major goal of the Citizen Police Academy is to increase understanding between residents and the police department, and to build a strong relationship for the future of the community. When residents take a more personal interest in their community and the protection of their neighborhoods, they enjoy a safer and closer relationship with their neighbors.
The academy runs from April 2 through 11, and will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Flossmoor Police Department, 2800 Flossmoor Road.
