Guided Tree Walk Coming To Flossmoor During Peak Fall Colors
Take in Flossmoor's foliage and learn a little about tree species in the Oct. 19 event.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Flossmoor residents are invited to enjoy all of the colors of autumn while learning about area trees at the Village of Flossmoor’s Guided Fall Tree Walk on Thursday, Oct. 19.
Meet Village of Flossmoor Forestry Maintenance Technician and Arborist David Becker at 5 p.m. in the downtown traffic circle in front of the Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., and the Flossmoor Metra Train Station to begin this educational, half-mile tour. Becker will share how the Village maintains its urban forest, while introducing you to a variety of tree species, including the Bitternut Hickory, Sweetbay Magnolia and Kentucky Coffee.
"This is a great opportunity for people to learn about the positive impact trees have on a community and how Flossmoor’s tree-planning program provides benefits for generations to come," said Becker.
