FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is in the final stages of developing an updated Comprehensive Master Plan and invites the community to attend a meeting to share its findings.

A park district comprehensive master plan is a document that guides decision-making and investments over a set period. It can cover a variety of topics, including parks, facilities, recreation programming, operations, and maintenance. The planning process helps a district understand and adapt to changing demographics and community needs. It creates a roadmap for our future.

An update meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at The Clubhouse at Dolphin Lake, 2700 W. 183rd St., Homewood beginning at 6 p.m. Representatives from Upland Design, a landscape architecture and park planning firm, will present a summary of the planning process, highlights of community input and the preliminary master plan recommendations.
