Want to help H-F High School's award winning DECA Business Club members represent our community in the international competition? We'll tell you how.
DECA Business Club is pretty awesome.
Just how awesome?
A school record of 25 members earned the right to call themselves "state champoions" after the Annual State Career Development Competition of the Illinois Association of DECA a couple weeks ago.

State champ and H-F High School student Kevin Noe offeres some insight into the value of the organization.
"DECA allows me to hone in on the areas of business that I have an interest in, and it helps me gauge the areas I need to improve upon," Noe said. "I enjoy DECA because it allows me to be competitive in a field in which I may pursue in college, while competing alongside my friends."

The honor of being called "state champion" also qualifies each of the 25 students for the International DECA Competition, set for April 28 through May 2 in Salt Lake City, Utah, where they will compete against more than 14,000 kids from all over the world.
But they need your help.
$15,000 is required to send the qualifying finalists over to Salt Lake City and cover their expenses. As of right now, they have raised $755.
"I think its important for the community to help support us with our trip to Utah because we are students who want to further our business and professional skills, and knowledge in this career field," Noe said. "We all know what it takes to be leaders and further our skills, both in and out of competition. This competition provides an outlet to showcase our skills against competitors from all around the world, while representing our club, our high school, and our community."
If you would like to help our DECA team get to Salt Lake City, please consider donating any denomination of money toward the trip via their fundraising website.
