Homewood Firefighters Working House Fire, Reported Explosion (UPDATE)

UPDATE: 12:08 p.m. Sunday

One Homewood firefighter was injured in the blaze that erupted shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, the Tribune reports. The home at 3033 Hedgerow Lane is gutted.

The amount of damage is yet unknown, however, the house was gutted and one vehicle was destroyed. Another vehicle was damaged. 

Homewood Fire Protection District has not released information on the cause of the blaze.

Homewood Firefighters are at the scene of a house fire at 3033 Hedgerow Lane. The initial alert indicated there was an explosion. 

The fire started at 11:08 p.m. Saturday. There is no information about injuries or the cause of the fire.  

Neither Homewood Fire Department personnel nor the Homewood Police Department had additional details.
