Homewood Man, 24, Dies From Tumor, Leaves Legacy of Caring
Brian Gannon of Homewood was a "pillar" of Operation Snowball at H-F High School when he attended.

Homewood resident Brian J. Gannon, 24, died on Friday, Aug. 23 after a two-decade long struggle with a brain tumor.
Brian was the type of person who persevered in spite of his adversity. The son of James and Jayme Gannon was "a pillar of the Operation Snowball program through Homewood-Flossmoor High School," according to his obituary. From H-F, he moved on to Illinois State University where he received his Bachelor's in Science degree.
Brian was also named a Children's Miracle Network Chicago Miracle Child in both 2007 and 2008.

A celebration of Brian's life will be held at Ryan Funeral Home, 18022 Dixie Highway, Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday.
