Homewood Man Flashed Knife At McDonald's Cashier: Police

A 29-year-old Homewood man fled the scene and also resisted a peace officer, according to police reports.

HOMEWOOD, IL — A 29-year-old Homewood man faces charges of disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer, after a March 5 incident at a McDonald's fast food restaurant.

Police said Brandon Darty, 29, approached the register in McDonald's in the 17700 block of Halsted, with a knife in his hand and alarmed the cashier when he asked what was inside the register, according to police reports.

Darty then fled the store with the knife and was located by police. Police said Darty refused to listen to officers' commands to stop and was physically restrained as he was taken into custody.
