Homewood Memorial Day 2019: Neighbor Shares Photos
Scores of people defied thunderstorm threats to attend the Memorial Day parade. A Homewood neighbor shares photos.
HOMEWOOD, IL — Monday's rains held off long enough for Homewood to hold its annual Memorial Day parade and service, and scores of people turned out in the morning to pay tribute to men and women who died while serving their country.
Jhames Holley of The Icebreakers Marketing was on hand to capture the event, and shared his photos with Patch.
The parade travel south on Dixie Highway from Chestnut Road to Olive Road and west to Harwood Avenue. It stopped at Veterans Park at Harwood Avenue and Olive Road for the ceremony.
