HOMEWOOD, IL — The Village of Homewood is asking for the public’s assistance in finding Nancy O'Sullivan, a woman who went missing as a teen in March 1974.

Nearing the 51st anniversary of her disappearance, Homewood Police Chief Denise McGrath is renewing efforts to bring answers to a case that has remained unsolved for over five decades.

Nancy O'Sullivan was just 15 years old when she was last seen in Homewood or South Holland. She was last seen on March 7, 1974, and reported missing on March 8, 1974. Over the years, multiple accounts have surfaced regarding her last known whereabouts, but no definitive answers have been found. McGrath, who first encountered the case as a detective sergeant, has remained committed to uncovering the truth and believes that public awareness may generate new leads.
