Man Flees Police, Crashes Car, Gets Out And Runs: Homewood PD
According to police, the man was arrested and charged after speeding away when police tried to pull him over for disobeying a stop sign.
HOMEWOOD, IL — A 41-year-old Glenwood man is accused of fleeing police after officers said Gregory Harris got out of his car and ran away following a crash.
According to police, Harris sped away from police in a car the night of April 8 after police attempted to pull Harris over for disobeying a stop sign. During the car chase, Harris crashed his car near Maple Road and Harwood Avenue and then got out of the vehicle and ran.
Police were able to catch Harris on foot. He is now facing charges of fleeing to elude a peace officer, driving without a valid license and driving without insurance.
