No Bond For 2 Men Charged In 2022 Fatal Shooting: Homewood PD
A Flossmoor man was arrested last week; a Dolton man was arrested in April in connection with the shooting, police said Tuesday.

HOMEWOOD, IL — A Flossmoor man arrested last week and charged in connection with a November 2022 shooting in Homewood is being held without bond, police said Tuesday. A Dolton man arrested in April 2023 and charged in the same incident is also being held without bond.
Police last week charged Ryan Carter, 22, of the 1000 block of Park Drive in Flossmoor, with first-degree murder. Nicholas Matthews, 22, of the 15600 block of Madison Avenue in Dolton was arrested in April and also charged with first degree murder.
On Nov. 27, 2022, police found 25-year-old Homewood man Darion E. Duncan fatally shot in a vehicle in the 17500 block of Dixmoor Drive. The Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit was investigating with the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force.

Police at the time said they believed it was a targeted attack and that there was no threat to the public.
