No Charges Yet In Fatal Crash: Homewood PD

HOMEWOOD, IL — A driver taken into custody last week following a crash in Homewood that killed a 76-year-old woman was later released without charges, Homewood police said.

Police were called Sept. 6 just before 9 a.m. to a three-car crash at 183rd Street and Kedzie Avenue. A 76-year-old female driver was injured in the crash and later died. She was later identified as Grace Hill, of Country Club Hills. A second driver and their passenger were also injured. A third driver was taken into custody.

That driver was later released without charges, pending further investigation, police said.
