On His Game: H-F's Stoffle Looks to Rebound in Regionals

Homewood-Flossmoor golfer Kevin Stoffle shot an 81 during Tuesday's Southwest Suburban Conference Blue tournament, but he says he and his team can bounce back in next week's IHSA regional tournament.

Kevin Stoffle led the charge for in Tuesday’s Southwest Suburban Conference Blue golf tournament at Inwood Golf Course in Joliet. Stoffle shot an 81 for the 18-hole tournament, which placed him as low man for H-F.

Though the course was a bit soggy from the rain that fell through the night and sporadically during the day Tuesday, Stoffle said the weather didn’t impact his game. But he conceded that he wasn't at his best.

“I had too many putts and I didn't really hit the ball very good today,” Stoffle said. “My ball striking just wasn't on point.”
