Shooting Death Of Flossmoor Man In University Park Ruled Homicide: ME

FLOSSMOOR, IL — A Flossmoor man was shot and killed Monday night in University Park, according to documentation from the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Malik Trotter, 21, was shot in the chest Monday at around 6 p.m. Police took the man from the 700 block of Burr Oak Lane to Franciscan Health in Olympia Fields where he was pronounced dead an hour later.

Trotter's death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner. University Park police did not immediately respond to Patch's request for comment.
