Shots Fired Call, Shell Casings Found In Street: Homewood PD
Homewood police are investigating after shell casings were found following a shots fired call early Thursday.
HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police are investigating after reports of shots fired early Thursday morning.
On Thursday, Aug. 31 at 4:17 a.m., police were called to the 1400 block of Linden Road for reports of shots fired. Officers checked the surrounding area and did not find an immediate threat or the source of the shots fired.
Several hours later, officers were called back to the same block, where they found two spent shell casings in the roadway. They are suspected to be related to the earlier shots fired.
