Starry Nights 2023 Kickoff Concert To Celebrate Pride Month
The first concert in the Starry Night series will be held Friday, June 9.
HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will kick off its Starry Nights concert series, with the first show Friday, June 9.
This year in the spirit of inclusion, along with the Village of Flossmoor and Village of Homewood, the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will celebrate Pride Month with a special Starry Nights Concert, at Richard D. Irwin Park, 18120 Highland Ave., in Homewood. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., resource vendors will be onhand providing information and support services while DJ Vic spins records. Then, beginning at 7 p.m., The PriSSillas will take the stage.
"Featuring an eclectic setlist, off-the-charts chemistry, and witty sense of humor, The PriSSillas, bring it all each time they take the stage," the park district said in a release. "Their high-energy shows will bring you to your feet as they take you on a musical journey cranking out popular hits spanning numerous decades and genres.

"From Zeppelin to the The Stones, Dolly Parton to Johnny Cash, Blondie to 4 Non Blondes, Janis Joplin to Pearl Jam ... and so much more. Their interactive performances will have you singing along and leaving your troubles behind."
Admission to the Starry Nights concerts is free. Participants are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Food, beverages and alcohol will be available for purchase from vendors; outside alcohol prohibited. Commemorative PRIDE t-shirts will also be available for purchase.
